Tularis Video! Maybe the coolest 2 stroke ever built.

I've personally seen this bike run at Daytona when it was just completed. It was entered to do some "Parade laps" in what was supposed to be a mellow few laps by "Past Champions". Well he whacked that bike wide open around the high banks and was just whailing it. The sound was unbelievable but sadly it had to be cut short as the carbon fiber fuel tank had developed a small crack and was leaking fuel so unfortunately he had to cut it short. This was around 2000 or 2001 and the bikes performance and potential was nothing short of jaw dropping.

One BADASS Buell Flattracker...

This thing must be a freaking ummm...

..."blast" to ride... ?

ugh.. sorry bout that.. :)

Thanks again go to Pete Giammalvo for the pics!

Maybe the perfect XS650 bobber. update..

These are getting extremely popular and I think it's the best I've seen yet. I can't see a single thing on this bike that I would change. Right down to the flatslides and disappearing pipes.

Almost forgot. If you like the Japanese Customs go check out JF Sebastians blog "Japanese Bobbers" Some really great stuff there.

Hey There little red riding ...trike?

Custom trikes usually aren't my thing but this picture from reader Christi Kapp has something about it. The builder had a sense of humor along with some serious fab skills. Thanks for the pics!

Christi writes:

This is a trike built by Art In Motion, LLC called “Flyin’ Trike” – it was inspired by the Little Red Rider Tricycle that many of us had as kids… the “bells” are actually Arlen Ness hand controls, the fringe is chrome leather… and we chromed the front fender too to match the little trike. We took this photo in the Badlands of South Dakota just after Sturgis last year.

Moto Parilla Cafe Racer

David Maritn Writes:

Pure Sex Boyo!

Couldn't have said it better myself! Wow! I'm going to make a wild guess that it's a "Sport Special"?? 150 maybe? I'm obviously not a Parilla aficionado so please set me straight. Sex on wheels though.

June 6th 2009.... WOW!!!!

June 6th 2009.... Go here and just keep scrolling. A BIG thank you to regular contributor Mr David Martin for the link to these fantastic photographs.

Dave Writes:
June 6th was a big day it was in all of the papers here's what the old motorcycle boys done to remember it scroll half way down the pictures before you understand how many people took part , great effort dave

Almost forgot....

Happy Fathers Day!

1946 Moto Guzzi Military Issue Superalce 500 single.

Easily one of the most interesting passenger accommodations I've ever seen!

The 59 Club History.... or why I gave up on words and decided to stick to pictures.

Oh don't get me wrong I do enjoy writing and I can to spin a good yarn over a cold beer with the best of them. And if I have the extra few minutes to spare I might actually include a little anecdote or two to the pictures I post.

But before I commit to a half dozen paragraphs relating to "all things motorcycle"I like to go out and see what the other like minded souls are going on about. I figure that maybe there's a general "topic du jour" and I might have something useful to contribute.

And then after seeing what the "real" talent can do I decide to just leave it to those folks who truly have the skills.

Ahem...For example...

I've been doing a bit of research on the recent death of Reverand Bill Shergold who was the founder of the legendary 59 Club. There are some good sources of information out there and I thought I could spin together a short biography on the life of very interesting man who is a little known icon of Cafe Racer/Sportbike history. He's the kind of person that all bikers (but especially the "No Fear" sportbike crowd) should know about. It's like being a football fan and not knowing the first thing about Vince Lombardi. S0 off to google for some poking around...

.... and I come across THIS ARTICLE over on the Vintagent blog (head over and read it I'll wait).....

.....and I am once again reminded why I lean towards pictures instead of words. While I don't think I'd bore anyone to death I wouldn't be able to match this article on my best most clearheaded and most inspired day. So if you haven't already, do yourself a favor and head over to The Vintagent and get a REAL education on motorcycle History (along with some of the best writing this side of real rubber tires and exposed valve trains). Not the televised and magazine based history but the foggy history of the sport with scans of tattered old pictures of grimy faces boys and stories of long dead and long forgotten heroes from the days when motorcycles were..

OK OK... I'll shut up now.

Just go read it already. You wont be sorry.

Honda CR72 Thanks to regular contributor Dave Martin

Honda CL 70... Cafe Racer! (update)

Ted Guthrie keeps sending in some really great stuff. He caught this one at Vintage Motorcycle Days a few years ago. What a cool build! When I was 12 I would have done anything for a ride like this! Well Done!

Thanks again Ted!

UPDATE:
While we're at it, he also included some sweet Ducati singles from the same show. I do love those little ducks..

RECONNECTED! The best 2 laps of MotoGP I've ever seen. Rossi vs Lorenzo.

Reader Ride! Honda "Super Four" CB400

All the way from Manila, Philippines. Thanks Very Much to reader Isleta Digoy for sending in such a cool ride. I love the Repsol paint scheme. This would also fall under the category of really cool bikes that we don't get in the U.S.

Just a quick heads up to a new blog I'm following.

Please take a minute to check out caferacerheaven (aka:bmwcafe) over on my links. Really great stuff!

Excellent Triton from a contributor who really needs his due.

Mr Dave Martin has been supplying me with some great stuff for a while now. I've received so much material in such a short time that it's made me hesitate on how to best present it. Well I can't hold back for too long so I'm just going to start laying it down on a regular basis. Here's one of my favorites! A jewel of a Triton. That's a Triumph engine in a Norton (usually "Featherbed") frame.

Harley Davidson Ironhead Dual Sport!!

Now here's an unusual twist on things. Not sure how well this would work but it took some balls to build.

Please check out my other blog!
